these r pics of our trip to Iguassu Falls on the border between argentina and brazil. paraguay was a coupla miles away, on the other side of the town of Foz de Iguacu. it was a lil too, shall i say, "ghetto" to take my digital camera to the paraguay side, so i will just have to remember what it looked like.

Ilha Grande is a "large island" off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state. its basically tropical paradise. there are many deserted beaches that are HEAVENLY. i really cant find the words to describe the beautiful nature i saw. there are nature trails all over the island that require u to climb up forested mountains at 45 degrees for 30 minutes, or to wade thru crotch deep fresh water that is brown from algae. i didnt even get to take pictures of all the cool stuff because i usually forgot to bring my camera along with me. i just took these pictures really quick so i could have something to remember. this beach where we were camping at was called "Aventureiro". it was great. most of the other people on this beach were either brazilian college students, hippies, or surfers. at night everybody drank a lot of beer and danced "Forró". the last night everyone sang songs and danced by a big camp fire, beig careful not to step on the thousands of key chain sized sand crabs (siris).

but we took a 3 hour bus ride from Rio de Janeiro, the city, to the sea town of Angra dos Reis. then we traveled 2 more hours by boat to the "ilha" (island).
